The primary goal of the Carleton Intramural Sports Program is to give Carleton students, faculty, and staff the opportunity to enjoy a high-quality recreational athletics program. Such a program can provide relief from daily academic pressure, further the social and athletic components of a Carleton student’s education, and enhance the professional lives of faculty and staff. The intramural program is a good opportunity for all members of the college community to interact in an extra-curricular environment.
Carleton campus recreation is committed to providing friendly athletic competition to all community members, regardless of experience or skill level. Offering multiple leagues, the intramural program allows for varying degrees of competition, for those who want to take the athletics more seriously or those looking to stay active in a friendly environment.
Sports emphasizes winning and excellence, but a true Intramural Champion understands the importance of teamwork, respect, and sportsmanship. Regardless of whether you’re a beginner or a veteran, you can exemplify the virtues of a true IM champ by having fun and giving everyone an opportunity at a fulfilling experience.
